Section Design Modules
Ref. Description Pre-
Requisites
S.01 Section Properties for any section: Graphical section definition. Material properties definition. Gross section, transformed section (to any E value), net transformed section, cracked section, plastic section.
S.02 Differential temperature analysis for any section: Differential Temperature load case generation. Calculation of relaxing moments and self equilibrating stresses. S.01
S.04 Design and assessment of concrete sections: For concrete sections with reinforcement and / or prestressing tendons, subject to bi-axial bending and axial load: ULS analysis, SLS analysis, SLS crack width calculations. Graphics and fully detailed tabular and hand calculation style output is produced for all the calculations. S.01
S.05 Design of concrete sections to BS 8110: For concrete sections with reinforcement and / or prestressing tendons, subject to bi-axial bending and axial load: ULS analysis, SLS analysis, SLS crack width calculations, SLS curvature and deflection calculations to BS 8110. Graphics and fully detailed tabular and hand calculation style output is produced for all the calculations. S.01
S.06 Torsion and shear calculations for any section: Calculation of torsion constant "C" using Prandtl's membrane analogy solved using finite difference equations. Allows for continuous faces. Calculation of the shear centre of a section. S.01
S.07 Early thermal cracking for concrete sections (required for British Standards only): Calculation of reinforcement required for control of early thermal cracking in accordance with BS 5400 and BD 28/87. S.01
