Section Definition and
Section Properties
The section outline, voids, reinforcement and material properties are all defined in these Sam modules which then calculate general section properties (including torsion and shear) as well as those special properties required by the relevant design codes.

Temperature
Gradient
This Sam module uses temperature gradient profiles to calculate relaxing moments and forces and self-equilibrating forces.

Detailed
Design
This Sam module uses strain compatibility to calculate the stresses and strains in the section arising from moments applied about the two in-plane axes, and applied axial loads. It also calculates the available bending or axial load capacity. Crack widths are calculated where appropriate.
These Sam modules are available for AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes, BS5400 & UK DMRB, AS5100 and Transit NZ where appropriate.
